Who am I?

Jacquelyn Francisco is a second-year law student at the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law, where she is a Navajo Nation Law Fellow. Her dedication to academic excellence is reflected in her role as a board member on the Arizona Journal of International & Comparative Law.

Jacquelyn’s passion for advocacy extends to her leadership as President of the Native & Indigenous Law Students Association and her past service as a Rule 39 Student Attorney in the Veterans’ Advocacy Law Clinic. Her diverse experiences include judicial externships with the Honorable John Hinderaker in the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona and Justice Diana Hagen at the Utah Supreme Court, where she honed her research and writing skills on complex legal matters.

Before law school, Jacquelyn worked as a bilingual paralegal, assisting clients with immigration-based applications and advocacy in asylum cases. These experiences fueled her commitment to serving underrepresented communities and addressing critical legal issues with precision and empathy.

In her free time, Jacquelyn enjoys exploring the world of storytelling through autobiographies, watching Bluey with her toddler and red heeler, and cherishing her cultural heritage as a beginner learner of the Navajo language.
